We are in the final stretch of preparing for the Kenya Mission Trip, and the team needs your help! We invite you to write a letter (or letters!) to the girls at Amazing Grace.
We believe that building a strong relationship with Amazing Grace is important for not only the missioners but for our entire church community. This is also a wonderful opportunity to introduce your children to mission work in a meaningful way.
When writing a letter, please keep the following in mind:
The girls love hearing about how you have found a home at All Saints’. You might write about your experiences with education, work, fellowship, serving in church, and more. They especially like to hear what you love about All Saints.’ However, please avoid writing about trips, vacations/vacation homes, electronics/gadgets, and similar aspects of life in Fort Worth.
Additionally, we ask that you do not provide any of your personal information- phone numbers, email addresses, physical addresses, etc. For addressing the recipient of the letter, please write “Dear Friend at Amazing Grace,” “Dear Amazing Grace,” or similar. To sign the letter, please only put your first name and last initial.
There will be a letter-making station in both the narthex and the Student Union on Sundays leading up to the trip, or you can email a digital letter to Hadley at hadley.worsham@gmail.com.
In addition to letters, each girl at Amazing Grace will receive a friendship bracelet, and we would love parishioners to make some. You can choose to make your own at home and bring it to church or the White House, or you can use the string provided at the letter-making station.
Thank you for your participation for our beloved mission and for your support of not only our missioners, but also the girls at Amazing Grace!
If you are interested in typing a letter to send and/or have questions, please contact Hadley Worsham at Hadley.worsham@gmail.com for more information.
EXAMPLE LETTER:
Dear Friend at Amazing Grace,
I hope this letter finds you well. I wanted to share a bit about my experience at All Saints’ Church and how it has become a true home for me.….
Our church is a place where I have learned to grow in my faith and learn from others. I’ve been inspired by the incredible kindness and generosity of our community members. Whether it’s volunteering together, singing in the choir, or simply having heartfelt conversations after service, I always feel uplifted and encouraged…
I hope that at Amazing Grace, you also feel the love and support that comes from being part of a caring community. I have met so many amazing people that have become part of a family. Please know that even though we may be miles apart, we are all connected through our shared faith and commitment to each other’s well-being…
You and the other girls are in my thoughts and prayers, and I am sending you all my best wishes. May you find joy, comfort, and strength in your journey….
With warmest regards,
Hadley W.
