We Have a Rector!
Friends in Christ: We have a Rector! Your Search Committee, formed in October 2024, made up of 5 men and 7 women with a multigenerational makeup, varying numbers of years as members of All Saints’ and service experience across all aspects of worship and ministry. They held 17 meetings, interviewed 12 candidates, had 19 interviews, and completed 2 sight visits. Guest Preacher: Dr. Thaddeus Bird
Join us this Sunday, May 10, for our guest preacher, Dr. Thaddeus Bird, former Head of School at All Saints’ Episcopal School. Dr. Bird holds Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees from Austin College and a D.Min. in Educational Leadership from Virginia Theological Seminary. He was a 2001 Klingenstein Visiting Fellow at Teachers College, Columbia University. In 2024, he completed a Leadership Certification through Stanford’s Graduate School of Education. The Feast of Pentecost
On the day of Pentecost, we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit descending upon the church, especially on the heads of the disciples, which is also why it is remembered as the birthday of the Church! We will keep the feast with a combined Choral Eucharist at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 24, with Holy Baptisms and First Communion, followed by a birthday party for the church in the Student Union.
