Friends in Christ:
We have a Rector!
Your Search Committee, formed in October 2024, made up of 5 men and 7 women with a multigenerational makeup, varying numbers of years as members of All Saints’ and service experience across all aspects of worship and ministry. They held 17 meetings, interviewed 12 candidates, had 19 interviews, and completed 2 sight visits.
On January 14th, 2026, in a joint meeting with the vestry, the Search Committee made the unanimous recommendation to the vestry for our next Rector. Immediately following, in executive session, the vestry voted unanimously to elect and extend a call to The Reverend Amanda Kotval to be the 7th Rector of All Saints’.
Mother Amanda Kotval is the Rector we have sought, and I am happy to share the good news that she has accepted our call to be the 7th Rector of All Saints’ Episcopal Church.
Mother Amanda is currently the Vice Rector at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church-Ivy, Diocese of Virginia. She grew up in College Station and graduated from Texas A&M University, attended Virginia Theological Seminary and is currently a D. Min. candidate at Nashotah House. She was ordained in the Diocese of Virginia in 2019. Mother Amanda and her husband Andrew have two sons, Ben, a sophomore at Virginia Tech and Levi, who will graduate from high school in Charlottesville in May.
Her first day with us will be June 16th, 2026, the day we celebrate the beginning of our 80th year as a parish!
Let us all celebrate the people young and old, those living and those among us who are in the cloud of witnesses, all those who have worked and prayed to bring our parish to this good day. Continue to pray with all your hearts and work together to be a portal of light to the world.
Faithfully,
Stephanie Burk
Senior Warden
