Among Our Abundance of Blessings is “Being Church”
Dear All Saints’,
Since it began some eight decades ago, All Saints’ has grown its congregation and ministries, launched a day school, fostered mission work at home and around the world, and faced challenges with faith, hope, and stewardship. Through it all, what is perhaps most significant is that we’ve not missed a beat in being church.
We grew our feeding ministry tenfold for hungry Fort Worth children. We’ve sustained 20 years of steadfast support to Holy Cross Anglican School in Belize. We’ve grown a safe and nurturing orphanage in Kenya, where a five-year-old girl—orphaned by AIDS, can grow up to be an economist, engineer, or entrepreneur. And here at home, for the spiritual growth and enrichment of our parish family, we’re educating our children through Godly Play, providing pastoral care with open arms, and celebrating the Eucharist through our reverent Anglican traditions.
Indeed, All Saints’ is such a special place. But, what defines us as a special place is less about the place and more about who we are and what we do. And it turns out, at All Saints’ we’re doing a lot by being church.
From mission work across the globe to worship and pastoral care among our own church family, All Saints’ is being church. And what enables us to accomplish so much in the daily life of All Saints’ is the annual giving through our Stewardship Campaign. Each year these funds keep the lights on and fund the church’s many cherished ministries.
The most efficient way to use those funds is by first knowing what resources we have to work with, and that’s where your pledge makes all the difference. From everyone’s pledges, the Vestry can build a budget to use those resources with efficiency and effectiveness. We can plan ahead to take advantage of savings, and make your generous stewardship dollars stretch further, to do more.
Your stewardship pledge helps us “do all such good works as thou hast prepared for us to walk in.” With a servant’s heart, we ask that you consider your annual pledge to help underwrite the good works we do every day. That’s how All Saints’ is being church.
Faithfully,
Andrew Johnsen, Stewardship Chair
