Adult Forum: Death Over Donuts

Join us this Sunday, July 12, for a special Adult Forum, Death Over Donuts!

Until the 20th century, it was a common part of life for people to witness death. The sick were not out of sight, receiving treatment in hospitals, and the elderly were surrounded by family of all ages in multigenerational homes up to and through the moments of their death.

With the loss of the regular experience and an intimate relationship with death, we easily detach and postpone facing its inevitability.  Thus, as a community, we have all but lost our acceptance of death as part of life.

This Sunday, let us remember that God is the god of life – and he says, though we may die, yet shall we live! Together, let us find hope and strength in our faith, as we journey through the shadow of death.
