Join us this Sunday, April 19, for our guest preacher, The Reverend Richard Towers, Upper School Chaplain at All Saints’ Episcopal School.
Father Rich has devoted 35 years to pastoral ministry and leadership focusing on children and young adults, including 20 years as a chaplain and senior administrator at six college preparatory schools in the U.S. and abroad. For the past 25 years, Rich has been an ordained minister in the Episcopal Church. He has also served as an administrator at an Episcopal seminary. He is proudest of being commissioned (at the young age of 41) as a Chaplain in the United States Navy. In his eight years of service, he was Squadron Chaplain with a component of the 4th Marine Aircraft Group stationed at NAS JRB Fort Worth and, later, Force Chaplain for the United States Forces Korea.
He most recently served as Interim Rector of St. Peter's Church and School in Geneva, NY.
Fr. Rich will preach at both the 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services on Sunday, April 19. Additionally, he will lead this Sunday’s Adult Forum, "Doubting Thomas," at 10:10 a.m. in the Student Union Conference Room. Join us for a reflection and discussion on the different responses to the post-Easter Jesus found in the Gospels, especially Thomas'. We will also consider Caravaggio's painting “The Incredulity of Saint Thomas (AD 1601-2)” and Nir Eyal's recent book entitled Beyond Belief. There is no need to be familiar with any of the teaching material, and all are welcome.
We hope to see you this Sunday!
