On the Feast of Pentecost, we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit descending on the heads of the disciples. As such, it is remembered as the birthday of the Church.
Join us on May 19 for a combined Choral Eucharist with Holy Baptisms at 10:00 a.m. Stay after the service for a birthday party for the church where Mthr. Hill will teach a special story about Pentecost for children.
Following the Pentecost party, join us at 2:00 p.m. at our Feeding Ministry Hub (7616 Benbrook Pkwy.) to pack food for hungry children in Fort Worth.
Join us that evening of Sunday, May 19, the Day of Pentecost, for a special Solemn Evensong. This specific Solemn Evensong will feature our own choir as well as the choir of St. Stephen Presbyterian Church – about 30 choristers in all. They will be singing the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis in B minor by Thomas Tertius Noble, and the anthem O thou who camest from above by Philip Stopford. Evensong is at 5:00 p.m. and is followed by a reception for all.
